Island Bay runs a range of squash tournaments: an ‘Open’ tournament, which caters for players of all grades, a ‘B and Below’, club champs, annual doubles and Masters' tournament, and sometimes a junior tournament.

The annual Hanbag tournament partners top graded players with the bottom graded, 2nd to top with the second to bottom and so on.  This is a fun tournament with the prestigious hanbag shield up for grabs.
