The Court Booking Rules are:

  • Courts are timed for 40 minutes and the “Official Court Clock” is on the wall at the start of the passage to the courts.
  • All peak time bookings require both player names to be entered. For off-peak times a single player name is permitted.
  • A court may be booked up to 7 days in advance, provided both members have no more than 4 other peak time bookings during the 7 days in advance.
  • Juniors cannot book courts during peak times. They may however, use them during these times on a casual basis if they are not being used by Senior members.
  • Junior members have preferential booking rights from 3.00 pm – 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. However, Senior members may use these courts on a casual basis if they are not being used by Junior members.
  • No visitors, including those playing with club members, are permitted to play in peak times during the months April – September inclusive.
  • Where a club member wishes to play a visitor, they must select the name “Visitor” on the booking system.
  • When a club member plays a visitor it is the members’ responsibility to make sure a visitor’s envelope is completed and the visitor fee of $5.00 is enclosed.
  • If a court booking is no longer required it is the players’ responsibility to cancel it within 2 hours of the start time. Non-cancellation is very unfair to fellow club members (particularly in peak times) and offenders of this rule will be warned. At the discretion of the Squash Committee persistent offenders may have their playing privileges withdrawn for up to 2 weeks.
  • Consecutive bookings are not permitted on the same or adjacent courts. Team training sessions will need to name the players involved and must not be held during peak times.
  • Block booking of courts for club night, interclub, tournaments, junior coaching, etc can only be made by authorised persons.
  • The practice facility is for the sole use of the individual practising alone outside peak time. It may not be used to play children or visitors.
  • Members who abuse these rules may have their playing privileges withdrawn. Persistent offenders will be liable for suspension from the club.
