TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This page has the Club's terms and conditions about membership, key tags, payments, visitor's fees, and communications.

Club Membership

1. Acceptance of membership applications is solely at the Club's discretion. The club reserves the right of refusal.

2. Once accepted members must abide by the Rules and Regulations of the club as set out in public notices and info.

Key Tags

1. All new members requiring a tag will pay $10 per tag ($20 for Pay per Play members). Replacement cost for lost tag is $10 ($20 Pay per Play).

2. Key tags are issued to members only. (Under no circumstance to be loaned to non-members).

3. Key tags for junior members aged under 14 years are issued in the child's name to the parent, who is responsible for ensuring the child is not allowed on the club premises unless actively supervised by an adult.

4. Misuse of the practice or visitor features on squash key tags will result in automatic suspension of all playing rights.

Payment of Subscription Fees

1. Membership renewals are due either on 1 April, or 1 October. A renewal invoice will be sent to all current members as per the contact details held on the membership database at the time. It is the responsibility of the member to advise the Membership Secretary of any change in contact details during the course of the year.

2. If no payment is not received within 30 days after the due date, the tag will be disabled.

3. If payment is made after 31 days a $10 administration fee will be incurred to renew the tag.

4. Members paying by 4 x monthly 'automatic payment instalments' are responsible for making full payment and ensuring payments stop when the full amount is paid. If payment of membership is not paid in full, tag access will be disabled and the balance invoiced to the member.

Visitors Fees

1. Members are responsible for ensuring payment of visitors fees by guests using the facilities. The appropriate amount ($5 for Tennis and Squash per session) must be placed in a Visitors Fee envelopes in the club foyer, with members name written on and posted into the 'Letters' slot upstairs by the ladies changing rooms.

2. Failure to pay visitors fees will result in the member being invoiced for the relevant amount, and in the event payment is not forthcoming the Club reserves the right to suspend playing rights.

Member Details & Communications

1. The club will include the information included on this membership application in the 'membership register' of the Club which is used for the purpose of the administration and benefit of the Club, and tennis and squash nationally.

2. The membership register will never be shared with any organisation other than district and national tennis and squash bodies as per point 1.

3. The prime medium used by the club for communication with members is email.  By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to receive emails from the club from time to time regarding club matters.  The club will endeavour to keep the number of emails to a minimum but often needs to let members know of important events and other matters at short notice.  You have the option to opt out of receiving club emails but it might mean that you will miss out on important information.  Opting out is therefore at your own risk.

4. The club operates an on-line court booking system.  By accepting these terms and conditions you agree to having your contact details recorded in this system so that other members can book games with you.  Only members are able to access the court booking system.

 

SUBSCRIPTION DEFINITIONS, ENTITLEMENTS AND SUPPORTING NOTES

1. Squash subscriptions also include entitlement to play tennis as well (except for occasional one-off promotions which may be for squash only).

2. Tennis subscriptions do not include squash. Members who wish to play squash as well need to upgrade to a Senior Squash subscription.

3. Subscriptions (including junior subscriptons) do not include professional coaching lessons or coaching programmes. An additional programme or tuition fee may be payable for those programmes or services at the time.

4. A Squash or Tennis Associate is defined as someone who is a full senior member of another squash or tennis club.

5. Students must be in full time tertiary study and present student ID at time of joining.

Other than the exceptions outlined below, all subscriptions entitle members to:

1. Issue of a security key tag

2. Play any other member or visitor

3. Play at any time (other than booked times)

4. Bring visitors (member liable and responsible for payment of the appropriate visitors fees)

5. Entrance to the club, use of relevant club facilities and access to bar facilities when open

Exceptions

Squash Midweek - Use of courts during weekends or after 5pm weekdays not allowed.

Tennis Midweek - Use of courts after 5pm mid-week (except for club night session) and during weekends not allowed.

U14 Squash Juniors:

· No visitor or practice playing rights on key tag

· No access to club facilities unless under the direct supervision of an adult.

· Can only access the club and squash courts between 8.30am and 8.30pm daily.

Squash Pay-per-Play:

· To play a visitor or to 'practice' 2 games are deducted from key tag credit.

· Not possible to play interclub competitions or tournaments.

Social - No playing rights allowed. Access to club facilities only
