Club Days are our weekly organised tennis practice and game sessions for members.

Unless otherwise noted, Club Days run term time from mid October to mid April.

Men's Night: Mondays 6.00 - 8.00 pm. This is a long-standing favourite - a fun game of doubles or singles then sometimes a beer on the deck to follow.

Ladies Night: Tuesdays 6.15 - 8.00 pm. Drop by for a fun game of social tennis or join our Tennis Active 1 hour session (6.15-7.15) for $10.00.

Junior Club Day: Friday 3-30-4.30. This is a popular session for junior members; sessions are led by one of our tennis coaches and parent volunteers and have a focus on building skills through fun games. Parents please note that you remain responsible for your children during these sessions. Due to the popularity of this session we are unable to cater for visitors at this session.

Intermediate Club day: Friday 4.30-5.30. Designed for older juniors, this session is often used for practice for junior interclub players. Sessions are supervised by one of our coaches with support from parent volunteers.

Thursday Rusty Rackets: During summer we run rusty rackets for people who are keen to get back into tennis. Contact David, our This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.for more information on this.

These club days are for members but we can usually cater for visitors if you are interested in joining the club. Please contact Lisa, our This email address is being protected from spambots. The exception to this is our Friday Junior Club Day - sorry this session is too busy for visitors

Interclub competitions are run by Tennis Central and Island Bay typically has 15-20 junior and senior teams in the summer interclub. We also have a number of senior teams that compete in the business house leagues and indoor winter interclub. We welcome new players onto teams and will do our best to place you with the right team.
